A top New York Democrat warned Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez against attempting to unseat Sen. Chuck Schumer during the upcoming primary elections, saying she would “absolutely” lose to the current. Ocasio-Cortez drew national recognition when she won the Democratic Party's primary election for New York's 14th congressional district on June 26, 2018.
